SETRENLO® inline toilet ventilation with activated carbon – compact, effective and compatible with many composting toilets

Unpleasant odors can also develop in composting toilets – especially with frequent use or lack of ventilation. The SETRENLO® inline toilet vent with a replaceable activated carbon filter reliably removes these odors and can be retrofitted to almost all common composting toilet systems.

🌬️ Odors out – clean air remains

A compact, powerful fan extracts the contaminated air directly from the restroom area. The exhaust air is then passed through high-quality activated carbon granules, which bind the odor particles – entirely without chemicals.

💡 Simple & durable in operation

  • The activated carbon only needs to be replaced once a year
  • The change is straightforward:
  • Unscrew the housing → empty the used granules → fill in new activated carbon → screw it shut
  • The used activated carbon can be safely disposed of in household waste – it is vegan and made from renewable raw materials
  • Included in delivery: Activated carbon for the first three years (1 L)

🔧 Sustainable & versatile

  • Housing made of biodegradable plastic
  • Suitable for ventilation pipes with Ø 38 mm
  • Ideal for installation in DIY composting toilets, garden sheds, boats or self-sufficient living solutions

🌀 Fan variants for every requirement

Every inline toilet vent comes standard with the standard fan – the ideal compromise between noise and performance.

It works reliably in most scenarios and perfectly meets the needs of most customers.

Those with special requirements can also choose:

Silent fan (upgrade, sold separately)

  • Whisper-quiet – ideal for sleeping areas or sensitive environments
  • Reduced volume when you want it to be particularly quiet

Turbo fan (Boost, sold separately)

  • More power for systems with long exhaust air distances or multiple pipe bends
  • Recommended when a stronger airflow is required

  • FAQ

Where can I use the inline toilet vent?

    • For all commercially available composting toilets.

What is different about this toilet vent?

    • The environment and your wallet are our top priority. The SETRENLO® toilet vents are made from renewable raw materials and can be used for many years. Only the vegan activated carbon needs to be replaced once a year. You can do this yourself cheaply and easily. And if your SETRENLO® product does become obsolete after years, it can be easily disposed of because the housing is biodegradable.

Which renewable raw materials are used?

    • The base is typically corn starch.

Why is this better for the environment?

    • You save valuable resources and avoid waste because you don't have to throw away the entire item every year.

How long does 1 liter of activated carbon last?

    • It is sufficient for three fillings of a SETRENLO® exhaust air filter or a SETRENLO® toilet ventilation system, i.e. 3 years.

What is the vegan activated carbon made of?

    • From coconut shells, which are produced during the production of coconut milk, etc.

    Why do I save money?

    • The activated carbon is significantly cheaper than the usual, non-refillable disposable products that are otherwise available on the market.
    • With the SETRENLO® toilet ventilation you no longer need litter. You can save the costs and the space for storage.
  • Technical data of the fan variants

To help you find the right solution for your installation, we offer three different fan variants.

All are available in 12 V or 24 V – with stripped, tinned connecting wires.

🟢 Silent (extra quiet – sold separately)

    • Power: approx. 0.9 W

    • Current consumption: 75 mA (12 V) / 50 mA (24 V)

    • Speed: 3800 rpm

    • Air flow: approx. 40 m³/h

    • Noise level: 27 dB(A)

❗ Note: The silent fan is not included in delivery and must be ordered separately.

Ideal when absolute quiet is a priority – for example, when installed near the sleeping area.

⚪ Standard (balanced – included as standard)

    • Power: approx. 1.6–1.9 W

    • Current consumption: 130 mA (12 V) / 80 mA (24 V)

    • Speed: 5200 rpm

    • Air flow: approx. 46 m³/h

    • Noise level: 31 dB(A)

The proven all-rounder: a compromise between performance and volume, reliably covers most scenarios and customer requirements.

Included as standard with every inline toilet vent.

🔴 Turbo (Boost – sold separately)

    • Power: approx. 4.3–5.0 W

    • Current consumption: 220–360 mA

    • Speed: up to 7600 rpm

    • Air flow: up to 68 m³/h

    • Noise level: up to 45 dB(A)

When particularly high airflow is required: recommended for installations with long exhaust air ducts or multiple pipe bends. Available as an option.
