On long journeys, your ventilation system has to withstand a lot: hot, dry regions as well as tropical heat and high humidity. The SETRENLO® Expedition activated carbon was developed precisely from our own travel experiences.
We have now further developed it: The new version is based on apricot kernel shells and offers improved odor filtration under demanding climatic conditions. It is specially impregnated to bind and neutralize ammonia odors and is designed for use in our toilet ventilation systems.

SETRENLO® Vegan Activated Charcoal – the proven base
Our activated carbon made from coconut shells is the proven choice for the regular external ventilation of your composting toilet or tank. For internal ventilation, it provides basic filtration in combination with the Expedition activated carbon.

SETRENLO® Expedition Activated Carbon – for demanding conditions
The advanced activated carbon made from apricot kernel shells is designed for hot and dry as well as hot and humid climates. It is specially impregnated to bind and neutralize ammonia odors and complements the basic filtration in our interior ventilation systems.

In our interior ventilation systems, both carbon filters belong together. Fill the respective filter containers with the designated activated carbon according to your system's instructions.

Advanced material, larger refill capacity
The new Expedition activated charcoal is made from apricot kernel shells. For the same weight, this material offers a greater filling volume than the previous version made from coconut shells.
With the new 2-liter pack, you get twice as much product as before. The number of filter refills this provides depends on the capacity of your filter system.
Recommended replacement interval
For use in extreme climatic conditions – hot and dry as well as hot and humid – and for indoor ventilation, we recommend changing the filter every six months.
The actual replacement interval depends on usage, odor levels, and environmental conditions. If odor filtration decreases sooner, you should replace the activated carbon earlier.

Instructions for use
Avoid direct contact with eyes. Wash hands after handling the activated charcoal. Reseal the pouch tightly after use and store in a dry place.
