InRoom toilet ventilation
the refillable
for all composting toilets
How it works

Bad smells arise in every toilet, regardless of whether it is a composting toilet or a chemical toilet. Your in-room toilet ventilation from SETRENLO® - the green loo is there to eliminate these bad smells.
There are two important components to enable it to perform this task effectively. Firstly, there is a fan. This sucks the bad air out of the toilet. Secondly, there is a container with the vegan activated carbon from SETRENLO® - the green loo. The fan pushes the bad smelling air through the activated carbon. This cleans the air so that you no longer smell anything.
Filling with activated carbon

Your toilet vent has a container for the vegan activated carbon from SETRENLO® - the green loo. You have to fill this before using it for the first time. To do this, you can simply unscrew it.

To fill in the activated carbon, first unscrew the outlet.

Fill the container completely with SETRENLO® Vegan Activated Carbon.

Before inserting the container into the flange, make sure that the O-ring seal is still in the flange.

Also make sure that the O-ring seal is in place at the end of the container's thread. Only then screw the outlet back on. Please only tighten it so that it cannot come loose on its own.

Now you can screw the container with the activated carbon back into the flange until it is firmly in place.
You should replace the SETRENLO® Vegan Activated Carbon once a year to ensure that the odor absorption continues to work.
The installation
Your SETRENLO® toilet vent is designed to be used with all commercially available composting toilets. We have tried to make installation as easy as possible for you.
Every composting toilet is constructed slightly differently, but the installation of your toilet ventilation is basically always the same.

Variant 1
You need an outlet for the ventilation hose on the composting toilet. The ventilation hose should have an inner diameter of 38 mm so that it fits on the toilet vent. It should also be as short as possible, but no more than 50 cm.
Position the ventilation hose inside the composting toilet so that it sucks the air out from where the bad smells are coming from. Connect the other end to the SETRENLO® toilet vent and secure it with a hose clamp. Install the SETRENLO® toilet vent using suitable installation material so that the outlet points downwards. It must not point upwards, but can also be installed horizontally.
Variant 2
A perfectly valid alternative is to place the entire in-room toilet ventilation inside your toilet. Of course, you will have to drill a larger hole for the air outlet. We still recommend a ventilation hose. This will allow you to extract the bad smells directly from where they arise.

The power supply
After you have installed the SETRENLO® toilet vent, you only need to supply it with electricity. Please note that there are two different versions. One with 12V and
a second one with 24V DC. So make sure you use the right version for your power supply.

Two cables come out of the fan housing. One is red, the other black.
Connect the red cable to the positive pool and the black cable to the negative pool of the battery. You should also install a fuse between the positive pool of the battery and the toilet vent. This should be 1A.

Our recommendation is to leave the toilet vent running all the time. It may still make sense to install an additional switch with which you can turn off the toilet vent, for example if you are not using the toilet for a while. Simply install this between the fuse and the toilet vent.
Please note!
-
Installation may only take place in dry rooms.
-
Outdoor installation is not permitted.
-
If the polarity of the fan connections is reversed, the fan may be damaged.
-
The ventilation hose should not be longer than 50 cm.
