The assembly
Before you can use the SETRENLO® toilet, you should install it securely. Every installation is different, so we'll focus on the mounting points on the toilet itself. Depending on your environment, you may also need different mounting hardware. This is not included.
Find the right place
The first step in installation is finding the right location. This involves several factors. First, you'll need a power connection (12V or 24V DC), and second, there's the potential for moisture. Don't forget the ventilation options for the toilet exhaust.
If the SETRENLO® toilet gets a splash of water and you wipe it dry immediately afterward, that's no problem. However, you should definitely avoid prolonged contact with water or even standing in water.
Securely attach
Depending on the intended use, you may need to anchor the SETRENLO® toilet more or less securely. Regardless, we recommend mounting it on the back wall.
There are various mounting options available. These depend on the local conditions. For mobile applications, it is absolutely necessary to securely screw the toilet to the back wall. Attaching it with screws or gluing it to the floor is not sufficient.
Connect the toilet vent
The SETRENLO® toilet features a powerful toilet vent. It's available in 12V or 24V DC versions. Before you can use the composting toilet, you must connect the toilet vent to a suitable supply line. The fuses are already installed.
Where the exhaust air should go
The SETRENLO® toilet vent has several options for venting the exhaust air from the body. This can be to the left, right, or back—whatever makes sense for your environment. From there, you can route an exhaust pipe to the outside.
You can connect the composting toilet itself using a DN40-compatible pipe. Simply plug it in and you're done. Nothing else is required for installation on the toilet.
If you want to vent the exhaust air outside, check out the SETRENLO® universal cover with the corresponding mounting kit . It makes this part much easier.
