COVER

the universal

For exhaust air filters and toilet ventilation

The functionality

Sentrelo_Abluftdeckel_Querformat.jpeg

The SETRENLO® universal cover protects the air outlet from insects and rain, but also from wind. This can otherwise cause bad smells to build up inside. To prevent all this, the universal cover from SETRENLO® - the green loo has a very special design.

The round body with the narrow outlet at the bottom prevents a build-up of pressure. The narrow holes in the outlet also prevent insects from getting into the exhaust hose or even into the toilet.

The cover is mounted on a flange which is mounted on the outside wall. The cover can be easily removed using two screws.

The installation

Your SETRENLO® universal cover is designed to be used anywhere. In other words, you can mount it on the outside wall of a tiny house, but of course also on a mobile home.

The SETRENLO® universal cover consists of two parts: a mounting flange and the actual cover.

The first step in installation is to create a suitable opening in the wall. The opening for the exhaust air should not exceed a maximum diameter of 70 mm. This is the limit set by the recess in the mounting flange. Typically, an opening of around 40 mm is sufficient.

The mounting flange must be mounted so that it rests completely on the wall. Depending on the condition of the wall, it can be fixed with three screws.

It is extremely important to seal the flange against moisture. Otherwise there is a risk that water will penetrate the wall and cause damage. To seal it, use a suitable elastic sealant. Apply this to the back of the flange before screwing it to the wall.

If you don't want to drill holes in the wall, you can glue the entire flange with a suitable sealant.

Always make sure that the sealant goes through and is applied to the outer edge of the flange. This way, no moisture can get into the wall via the screws.

The opening of the cover must face downwards. This is the only way to ensure that no moisture can penetrate.

Before fitting the cover, please ensure that the sealing cord is fitted correctly. It must be pressed flat into the groove on the inside of the cover. If this is not the case, simply press the sealing cord in carefully with your finger.

Once the flange is mounted on the wall and the sealing cord is inserted into the cover, you can now fix it onto the flange. It is important that the two nuts are inserted into the flange so that you can screw the cover tight.

On the opposite side of the outlet, there is a small tab inside the cover. You then place this side on the flange and fold it down. You can now insert the two screws and the snap rings and tighten them with a screwdriver until they can no longer come loose.

The snap rings prevent the screw from unscrewing on its own. Do not tighten the screws too much, otherwise the cover may be damaged.

Please note!

  • The opening for the exhaust air can have a diameter of up to 70 mm. Approximately 40 mm is recommended.

  • The cover must be mounted so that the opening faces downwards.

  • The mounting flange must be sealed with an elastic sealant to ensure that no water can penetrate.

  • Before installing the cover, check that the sealing cord is correctly inserted. Missing or incorrectly installed sealing cord can cause water damage.

  • Only tighten the two screws to the point where they cannot come loose. If you tighten them too much, the cover may be damaged.
